No, you’re not flushing money away.
Paying your sewer bill funds the projects, programs and people that protect your health and environment.
Since 1972, the Sewer District invested more than $2.2 billion in projects that have a direct effect on protecting public health and the environment (such as sewer system improvements, day-to-day wastewater collection, testing, and treatment, and more).

In the next 30 years, we'll invest another $4 billion to maintain our current facilities and expand our combined sewer overflow control efforts.
